Web agency multiple-media.com is proud to announce that a whole new transactional section of caaquebec.com, which it designed and executed in close cooperation with CAA Quebec, went live this spring, allowing members to perform several standard operations on their own with utmost ease.

The objective was to allow members to make changes to their own membership file, as they wish and when they wish. Among other things, members can now go to the transactional section to edit their profile and their preferences, add associated members, pay their annual subscription, and of course, find out how many CAA-Quebec dollars they have collected through purchases at participating partners. Also, the process of joining CAA-Quebec has been simplified.
Given the complexity of the business logic behind the application, multiple-media.com banked on a user centered approach from square one. A long-time usability advocate, the Montreal web agency followed Best Usability Practices in creating the interface, which is designed to offer CAA-Quebec members–a highly heterogeneous group–a pleasant user experience.
“After developing personas and detailed layouts, we were able to perform user tests in the lab thanks to CAA Quebec’s trust. Observing real users allowed us to identify situations we never could have imagined,” said Renato Cudicio, president of multiple-media.com. “Then we carried out final tests to make sure the website was easy to navigate, the menus were clear, the content was well positioned, and so on.”
The go-live of the member zone–which occurs only a few months after the launch of CAA-Quebec’s online trip planner, a sophisticated geo-location application for French-speaking people, also programmed by multiple-media.com–is a source of pride for the multiple-media.com team, which sees these efforts as a common will of both organizations to put users in the driver’s seat.
